What is Prader-Willi Syndrome? Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a genetic disorder characterized by an anomaly in chromosome 15, which can affect appetite, growth, metabolism, cognitive functioning and behavior.

This fundraising event will benefit the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA-USA), and the funds will be contributed to such purposes as funding additional research to understand and find treatments for the disorder and supporting families affected by PWS, among many others.

This Virginia Challenge is dedicated to local children diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome: Charlie, Riden, Noel, Matthew, and many others!
